I worked at LSI (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Able to work as much OT as you wanted to work.

    Cons

Work expections are set high in production.
Even top proformers are not appeciated , no incentive for surpassing production standards.
"Good O boy" polictics in mangement affects operations.
Report a possibly injury, using the right proceedures, after reporting a injury to supervisor was asked to clock out, later that week had to walk back from Doctors office, was docked pay after being refused pick up, due to no one available to come so I could report back to work. While waitting for response back, while still being top performer in the dept. I all of sudden had complaints of misconduct from various sources. Mangement and HR were relentless to terminate, while on my day off receiving a call terminating me followed by letter to unclaimed injury, lastly was unsuccessful in refussing to pay unemployment benefits after years of service with no previous issues.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees fairly without personal opinions to effect maintaining operations. Do not let interpersonal work relations reflect managments montives that discredits the ethics of HR.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at LSI full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good monetary compensation. That's it.

    Cons

Avago medical worse than LSI's. CEO is all about stock and investors, which is great for monetary compensation, but they don't care about people as individuals. They drop people for a little more profit. 40% OM? If they don't hit it they lay off? Really? They kill all telecommuting employees, no matter how good they are. If you're a person, don't work here.

    Advice to Management

Give a crap about people. They're people. What you do to them will happen to you. Do you get that?

"Was a good company - now under foreign management"

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at LSI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Was a good, progressive company
    Had telecommuting for all
    Flexible work hours

    Cons

All of the "pros" are gone - administrative support was eliminated and senior management expected to make their own travel arrangements, calendaring, expense vouchers, etc.
Current CEO is from a different culture than American/Western culture - micromanages EVERYTHING, even office supply purchases!
    No telecommuting at all
No investment in research and development

    Advice to Management

This Avago management does not care for the LSI employees and is actively ridding itself of all personnel it does not deem necessary. Selling off parts of the company to show a great end of year bottom line for its investors.
