I have been working at LSI full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good monetary compensation. That's it.

    Cons

Avago medical worse than LSI's. CEO is all about stock and investors, which is great for monetary compensation, but they don't care about people as individuals. They drop people for a little more profit. 40% OM? If they don't hit it they lay off? Really? They kill all telecommuting employees, no matter how good they are. If you're a person, don't work here.

    Advice to Management

Give a crap about people. They're people. What you do to them will happen to you. Do you get that?

    Pros

It's a check and there's as much overtime as you can handle.

    Cons

Soon as the fall rolls around, prepare to get laid off. You will see groups of people disappear every Wednesday around Oct 1st.

    Advice to Management

Let people know that it's seasonal employment.

    Pros

Great people who are smart, have fun and work hard...

    Cons

Executive Team only concerned about share holder value and not the folks out in the field.

    Advice to Management

Never lose sight of the fact that the loyal hard working people out in the field on a daily basis are the one who work with your customers and are critical to your success.

    Pros

Leading edge technology, and a fast paced environment.

    Cons

Senior management overcommitting to customer requests. While not necessarily a bad thing, it dissolves the need for Program Management's schedules.

    Pros

Excellent place to work, leadership investing in technology and not afraid to stand back and let employees do the work. People oriented company with great benefits, competitive pay, and an understanding for work-life balance.

    Cons

Unfortunately, LSI was purchased back in May of 2014, and the new management has made some changes...

I worked at LSI full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

LSI was well known for being a result oriented work environment. They trusted their employees to get the job done, and meet their deadlines, all while treating them respectfully. They had a flex work environment which balanced the chaos of being a global company with global demands.

    Cons

Benefits have been stripped away. Make sure you ask about them during your interview. Absolutely no telecommuting. The CEO personally sent out a company wide email on the topic. They check who is badging in everyday. Don't be polite or hold the entrance door open for anyone, because then you won't get credit for showing up for work. They do not trust you to work remote. This part is nice, because you won't need to take early morning calls, or late night emails, because it's actually against their policy to do so. You won't be calling China from your home phone, and you won't have a mobile phone to do it either, unless you are on 'the list' to have a company mobile phone.

    Advice to Management

Stop this behavior. You are losing your top talent in a market where everyone is in high demand. The truth is being communicated externally, and creating a reputation for your leadership team which will be extremely difficult to reverse.
