I have been working at LVI Boston

    Pros

I will never be able to repay what this company has provided me with. I interned here for the summer and I can tell you right now that I am a much different and better version of myself today than what I was when I first started. To be completely honest I have learned more in 3 months of working with Ben and the crew than I have in 2 years of college. Excellent atmosphere and working environment followed by an opportunity...

    Advice to Management

Ben is the most selfless person I have ever met in my entire life. This guy will literally go out of his way for you for ANYTHING even if it's not work related. Amanda is the best of the best when it comes to keeping the office in line and recruiting. Without her the office simply would not be where it is today.

  2. "DO NOT WORK HERE - HORRIBLE!!!!"

I worked at LVI Boston full-time

      Pros

The people were cool. That's about it.

      Cons

WASTE OF TIME. Everything about this company is fake. They trick young people into thinking they are doing an entry level "sales and marketing" job, when in reality it's a door to door salesman to random companies that have no need for the product being sold. They make you drive all over MA, which was never brought up nor agreed on during the interview process. The days are stupidly long and they pay minimum wage. They...

      Negative Outlook

I worked at LVI Boston full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Absolutely none. Ben is a fraud and half the employees can't get work elsewhere due to run-ins with the law.

      Cons

Door to Door sales job. While there is nothing wrong with being a door to door salesman, nobody wants to have you come in and solicit offers to them (especially if you aren't a woman with a well kept image). On top of this, management is very vague with your objectives at the company until they throw you into the deep end and tell you to get selling. Overall, this company and all umbrella companies associated with...

      Advice to Management

I have advice to you reading. Unless you have had a DUI and can't get work anywhere else (and I mean anywhere), do NOT work for Ben and his cronies. Honestly. The pay is terrible and even if it wasn't, the office culture alone is enough to turn somebody intelligent away for good. That being said, enjoy your interview and if you like hounding uninterested businesses for items and stock they don't need or want, this...

I worked at LVI Boston full-time for more than a year

      Pros

They teach you everything you'll need to know to grow and develop within the company. More than anything, they're amazing people with whom you'll be able to stay close with even if you don't stay with the company.

      Cons

The job forces you outside your comfort zone a lot, which can be a negative for some. At times it seemed like long hours, but isn't that bad once you adjust to the schedule.

      I worked at LVI Boston

      Pros

Great office atmosphere without managment there

      Cons

Everything about this company, if you can call them that. They are liars. Don't believe the bull they sell the hours are ridiculous and not with the base pay. Took me forever to get the checks they owed me. Never got reimbursed for my gas milage and had to drive everywhere!

      Advice to Management

Stop lying and tell the truth. And treat employees with respect.

      I worked at LVI Boston

      Pros

Lots of training to get you ready to be on your own in the field. Fun atmosphere in the office.

      Cons

Wasnt up front about the position at all. Have to work a ton of hours just to make average money at best. It all comes down to you're a door to door salesman and nothing more.

      Advice to Management

Be more honest with your employees from the beginning about the position and pay.

I worked at LVI Boston full-time

      Pros

Great learning experience, I never had sales experience and was taught, hands on. It was a very simple, low pressure sales model.

      Cons

Getting used to people saying no was tough at first, but then I developed more confidence and realized it wasn't a big deal.

      Advice to Management

Management was great, very hands on and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about the Management team at LVI.

I have been working at LVI Boston

      Pros

I had an interview with this company this week. I had a great phone interview with Ben and did return to the second interview which was a 2 hour overview of how the company works. It did not take long for me to figure out that being an experienced sales profession with a proven background is what they are not looking for. Not saying that's a bad thing just if you are a seasoned sales professional this might not be the...

      Cons

Looks like they want youth and nothing else. Even if they hired me it would have been difficult to accept because I don't think they want anybody over 30 and I would have felt out of place.

      Advice to Management

Be up front on what your looking for. I know everyone is worried about being discriminate in their hiring pratices, I just feel be upfront instead of wasting people's time.

I have been working at LVI Boston full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

Amazing and supportive job environment. A test of character and leadership skill. Throws you out of your comfort zone and makes you a better human being!

      Cons

If you don't can't handle self management and have a minimum effort mentality, this job isn't for you.
