I have been working at La Capitale full-time

    Pros

    Excellent company, great products.

    Cons

The head office is located in Quebec so most of the opportunity to grow are in Quebc city.

I worked at La Capitale full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Very encouraging management. The sales managers were always available when I had questions or needed coaching.
    - Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful
    - if you are the type of person that can approach people with confidence and try to sell something to them, you can make a lot of money
    - Make your own schedule, take as many days off as you wish whenever you wish
    - great commission and residuals every year

    Cons

    - If you have hesitation with approaching people you do not know to sell them something, this job is not for you. The majority of sales are made this way and you have to be outgoing enough to do this on your own without a manager.
    - A lot of driving around looking for people to approach. Makes you feel like you're an old timey salesman selling vacuum cleaners.
    - You will deal with a lot of rejection at this job. You must be persistent.

    Advice to Management

    - Embrace new technology and modern sales strategies. Cold calling and door knocking should not be the only way to generate leads.

I worked at La Capitale part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Strong corporate culture for those very competitive types with a lot of self discipline. Set your targets and get moving. Great recogition awards and travel.

    Cons

Lacks extended sales support. You must find/create your own solutions. Product training is very weak for a great product line. Expensive if you dont follow standard approach. Cold calling mandatory and dont apply if you are shy!

    Advice to Management

Lack of co-ordinated product or sales training. Basic inability for training. Old adage "Those that cant, teach" At LaCapitale - Those that can sell? Can't teach! Soon after, the managers compete with their new hires, who then leave. Horrible turnover is a structural problem. Not a heathy environment for growth!

    Pros

    Good salary and nice office

    Cons

Poor communications, a lot of things are just having a form but not meaningful. Gossip about good people are always spread out not the good words. If you are a contractor, it may take you years and years until you become full time or you will never do.

    Advice to Management

    Enhance the layer of managers
