I have been working at La Madeleine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Positive working environment where it feels your input matters. Good benefits to include medical, dental, vision and 401k. Seems to be promotional opportunities and room for growth within organization. Leadership is involved and has a passion for the concept. Understanding of work/life balance. Fantastic 50% discount!

    Cons

Due to the rate the company is growing there are growing pains associated with getting processes streamlined and most efficient. I feel this will eventually work itself out.

I have been working at La Madeleine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

New cafe openings offer plenty of room for advancement, good benefits, work life balance, and corporate is very supportive.

    Cons

Plenty of room for advancement but that depends on the person.

    Advice to Management

The company is progressive and I like the direction it's headed. Keep taking care of people and the business!

I have been working at La Madeleine part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Love the busy working environment. The more pressure I have, the more I love and the more I improve.

    Cons

I got nothing to say. All my managers love me and I am not kissing anybody's butts. I simply work and have fun. The more they love me, the more hours they give me. But I am trying to stay away from them cause I have school and other plan that I need to finish.

    Advice to Management

Be more strict and hard on lazy-butt employers. Fired them if you want to. I can't stand the fact that they are talking all the time.

I worked at La Madeleine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people and friendly atmosphere! Great atmosphere and most importantly having some awesome people to work with. Great management to keep the store running.

    Cons

Having to work double shifts or being overworked do to people calling in there shifts. Very busy place and very hard to keep enough staff to run the place smoothly.

    Advice to Management

Making sure there is enough staff so employees don't get overworked and also being fair with all the employees to make sure all employees are treated equally.

    Pros

    Easy for the most part.
Its not a very hectic job like it is at most restaurants.
You wear all black pants with a button up shirt instead of chef pants with a silly hat.

    Cons

When people are behind on their job you have to help them out.

    Pros

The management is very lenient when it comes to your education. Anytime I had something acedemic come up, they were very happy to help me out.

    Cons

The compensation is a bit too low for the work that you actually do at the restaurant. As with all restaurant work, the people who came in late drive you crazy as the management allowed anyone in.

    Advice to Management

Keep in constant communication with the workers, overall just keep morale up, add comments but don't be so negative at times.
