I have been working at La Petite Academy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff is great; you grow to love your family. There's room for advancement on the center level due to the high turnover.

    Cons

The insurance is high in unreasonable
Management (DM) is not very knowledgeable; as a director your expected to work a lot of hours to cut the hourly labor but the pay rate is not always worth it.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay rates the families pay a lot for their care with the company. Train and education the DMs as they are not always resourceful to the centers as we need.

    Pros

working during the day and off weekends

    Cons

could have cared less about the children. . . Also never had new materials for the kids and when asked never got them. Was all about showing parents how nice it was but when they would walk out the doors very different story

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great Health Benefits. 401k plan. sick time. vacation time.

    Cons

Got pointed for using sick time you earned. Full time hours were cut-almost losing benefits. It was not easy to take time off. Vacation hours were cut in half. Upper local management was not respectful to teachers-which was the face of the company. Never money for supplies to carry our curriculum.

    Advice to Management

Allow personal days to hardworking teachers. Budget money for supplies to carry out curriculum. It is a great curriculum-if only they could do it.
