I have been working at La Petite Academy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great benefit packages that include 401k
    shows appreciation for staff
    encourages professional development
    promotes work life balance
compensation is average but who is ever satisfied with their salary?
fair and consistent treatment of all employees is a priority

    Cons

None really, all good early educators understand that flexibility is key to working with children. Staff scheduling and salaries are based on student enrollment. If you want good hours and pay, you must work hard to contribute to your school team not be the problem.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Advice to Management

Care a little about what is going on in the classrooms. That’s what the parents expect.

I worked at La Petite Academy full-time

    Pros

    Adorable children and cuddling babies

    Cons

I have never worked for someone so inconsiderate and unprofessional in my life. Employees don't feel supported whatsoever, by the company or the director. To keep someone in management after having such a high turnover rate, due to her lack of professionalism, is unreal.

    Advice to Management

Find someone who knows how to lead, and you won't be the laughing stock of our district.

I worked at La Petite Academy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to meet a lot of great kiddo's and families

    Cons

    Poor management
    disrespectful coworkers
    high expectations for low pay
    no work-life balance
    the list could go on

    Advice to Management

My advice is more towards corporate then anything else, but actually hire people who are qualified! Management that is inexperianced is not the best way to go when staffing a child care center. And actually care about your employees and the families that pay good money to come there 5 days a week!
