Pros

Open culture allows contribution anywhere in the business without being constrained by specific job titles. A strong structure helps to know who is responsible for each area of the business and the culture leads to everyone helping each other.

Cons

Those that are not particularly strong (in engineering ability) get some support but are out-performed by more capable staff and this is not the place for them.

Labman provides a supportive environment for staff from all departments. If you wish to learn and grow in your role there is a refreshing amount of encouragement to do this. Even if you don't have the right skills but you have the desire to learn, there are various workshops, lunch and learn sessions and opportunities to gain experience and use facilities/technology (of which there are many). This has been something I appreciated the most. Culture and values are properly addressed - there is a friendly and inclusive vibe which is good for large factory with lots of staff across various project areas. If you are yourself and happy to work, there is no 'fitting-in' necessary. Better physical and mental wellbeing in general is actively encouraged - again something which I take advantage of. The sports/exercise facilities are also excellent and wide ranging - you can take it or leave it, they're not for everyone. I find Labman to be a friendly and well-managed place to work with plenty to offer.

I have never been made to feel more welcome into a workplace. Labman truly cares about its employees, visitors and customers and has a positively welcoming atmosphere. It’s fun, hardworking team is an absolute pleasure to be part of. Great perks, a refreshing work life balance and a truly inspiring place!

Fantastic working environment and company culture. Employees are well looked after, and the employers are more than approachable when issues arise. So many opportunities to better yourself with a company that encourages and wants individuals to do just that (with out applying unwanted pressure) Anyone would be hard pushed to find better employers. There are always other employees around you who go that bit extra to help you.

I can't find any Cons with Labman Automation at all.... honestly.

Pros

Labman is not like anywhere else you could work. You know you are working for a company that really cares about you. I almost think you need to have worked elsewhere before joining Labman to really appreciate how good it is here!

It's work, so of course there are downsides but over all I can honestly say I've never woken up and dreaded having to go in to work.

Great place to work with friendly staff always willing to help, as long as you are willing to learn and help yourself. With a big social element to the workplace you feel like part of a family within days of starting.

Laziness isn't tolerated. Yet still crops up here and there to the annoyance of many people. Slightly remote location can have it's downsides too.

-All the employees are really friendly, making a nice, relaxed environment to work in -The work is always changing so stays interesting, always faced with new challenges -Great activities, rock climbing, table tennis, snooker, football, VR racing, squash -Everyone can talk to everyone else, the apprentices feel equal to managers in certain respects -Very open to people doing their own thing, fine with people going travelling etc. -Pay for education of staff, including uni and college

-Sometimes feels like we don't have enough staff, certain projects are over stretched, so things get done late or in peoples own time -Not rewarded for working overtime
