I worked at Labor Ready full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great feeling when you can help someone get back on their feet with a job!

    Cons

Long hours in the seasonal months, you are on call for holidays, weekends, nights, etc. so expect to have 60 - 70 hour weeks for about 4 - 6 months out of the year, female boss had it in for me and wouldn't help me or return calls or include me in any group calls and she never visited my branch even though she drove right by it and spent countless hours at other branches, some branches are so close that you are 'poaching' in each others territories without knowing it.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the regional managers are actually doing their job, visit the branches yourselves and ask how things are going.

I worked at Labor Ready (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the best reasons I initially chose Labor Ready was that you got paid the SAME day as you worked! For anyone needing to make fast cash, Labor Ready is a great solution.

    Cons

A lot of the assignments are construction work. However, they do have a hospitality side, for those not looking to do labor intensive work. Banquet serving, as well as, other hospitality roles are available. The only down side with Labor Ready, as with most temporary agencies, is that they don't always have 40 hours worth of work to give. But in that case, working a "regular" job might be more beneficial.
