    Pros

Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions.

    Cons

The job requires constant attention to detail, serving others and sometimes hustling for hours without much down time.

    Pros

Nursing staff works together. Physicians listen to nursing staff input and take the advice the majority of the time.

    Cons

Management has favorites among staff nurses. Very under paid compared to other hospitals for the amount of work that is done there. There is a manager that pulls you from the areas of the ER that you don't like to work and puts you where they know you will be miserable.

I have been working at Lac Usc Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Majority of the personnel are nice, and willing to train or answer questions.

    Cons

Area is short staffed so training seems sporadic and you are left on your own early on. Need to be able up pick things up fast to survive. There are a few personnel that seem to have intent to throw people under the bus, and run to the supervisor to deal with problems before first trying to solve the issue with the other party.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time with the staff to understand the conflicts that arise, and see some of the ill-will that certain individuals seem to thrive on.
