I worked at Lacrosse Unlimited full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Managers conference once a year
You get to be around lacrosse all day
Great job for college graduate looking for temporary work before grad school or high school graduate who is looking to get into retail management

    Cons

    Low salary
    No district managers
    Micromanaging on all levels
    No room for growth
Company investors prefer high turnover rate on managers to paying better salaries to keep good employees
Force managers to work overtime in season, but restrict clock-in/out times to an hour before and hour after closing (though sometimes there is work to be done outside of those hours) and require 6 days worked out of 7.
Inconsistency in hiring process, continually say ‘you signed the handbook’ when no handbook was ever received nor any contract signed upon hiring, or clear salary determined or given in writing.
    The list goes on...

    Advice to Management

Pay your managers fairly based on area cost of living
Go back to your roots and focus on ‘Always Custom’ not factory made

I worked at Lacrosse Unlimited full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy, straightforward job. Very simple tasks. A lot of great people at the Warehouse building, always laughs and good times.

    Cons

Out of touch and clueless management for the web team has made progress impossible. Absolutely incompetent higher-ups (2 individuals, to be more specific) that think they know everything and strut around like hotshots with their nose in the air. They do not take suggestions, they ignore the obvious issues that can be fixed with just one productive meeting. Want to get one microscopic insignificant raise after 2 years of employment? Definitely work here.

    Advice to Management

There are so many potentially great employees that are able to slide into a new position, don’t overlook them. Take care of the rat problem at the Marcus building and I truly think this company can thrive.
