Pros
Better salary than most parishes (counties) in Louisiana. Several opportunities for professional development. I teach in the French Immersion program. Students in the French Immersion program tend to be average to above average students. Several schools of choice.
Cons
Salary not competitive with most other states in the US. Very rigid curriculum. Doesn't allow for flexibility or creativity.
