    Pros

Family owned manufacturing business, maintaining a good reputation of products and services with a loyal dealer base.

    Cons

Nepotism common, with very little opportunity for advancement. Company's culture is behind the times.

Lafayette Venetian Blind a very caring employer.

    Pros

Nice quiet work environment, not a lot of noisy machines. Friendly and relaxed work atmosphere, allowed to have mp3 players and headphones. No annoying quotas for the day, you have a rate to try to achieve, but are not pressured daily to make the rate. Supervisors communicate well with employees, evaluations are given at timely intervals. Employers really care about their employees, spacious break rooms provided, ample parking space, and clean bathrooms. Great communication with Human Resource employees, always willing to help and answer your questions in a timely fashion. Overall, I would recommend LVB to any of my friends or family as a great place to work, and also as a quality place to purchase your venetian blinds.

    Cons

At times, it can be very dusty, due to the sawing of the wood parts. May have to work overtime, ten hour days, and Saturdays.

    Pros

Great family atmosphere. Not micro-managers. I had a great sales manager.

    Cons

Long hold times on the phones. They never train their customer service people well nor pay them enough to keep them working there for very long.

    Pros

In the beginning very supportive of forging new directions for business.

    Cons

After great success with recent business developments there was an overwhelming push to "do it like we always have".

    Pros

simple jobs nice boss friendly people alot of overtime

    Cons

the jobs in the plant are very simple, but for the amount of BS i deal with on a daily basis, it isn't worth the pay. I am constantly looked to as a team leader and a trainer, but I am not, because each dept. can only have one team leader. there is no moving up in this company, its just a waiting game for people to quit, or get fired so you can move up. also, they do not do pay raises anymore.
