I worked at Lahey Health Behavioral Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule to a point
    Wonderful colleagues/talented and invested clinicians
Variety of services offered to clients
    Convenient location
    Training opportunities are good

    Cons

    Disrespectful management
Disregard for feedback about working conditions and feeling overworked and burnt out
Billing and productivity is only real focus but pretend to care about work environment and clients while consistently making decisions that go directly against best interests of employees and clients
Micromanaged-people are scrutinized for socializing in between client sessions
Clinicians are overbooked with little regard for emotionally draining work
Asked to do more and more without compensation
HR and IT dept riddled with issues that make the work more challenging than necessary
some clinicians speak disrespectfully about one another and clients
Impossible to take time off without it being held against you with productivity
Has been described as a "sinking ship"
Have not heard a single seasoned employee express positive feelings about the place
Many feel stuck and uninspired by what they do and not because they're not talented
People are leaving left and right

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending client care is the most important thing because every decision made over the last few years has gone directly against that sentiment
Listen and give employees a say in matters that impact them directly
Stop making it all about productivity at the cost to employees' own mental health

I worked at Lahey Health Behavioral Services full-time

    Pros

PC word documents for intakes + treatment plans; better than hand writing assessments, etc.!

    Cons

Restrictive central scheduling: little flexibility for adult Clinicians to control their schedules, managed by non-clinical personnel.

    Advice to Management

    Good Luck!

    Cons

The worst management you can imagine.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Lahey Health Behavioral Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great staff, families are wonderful for the most part. Ability to work from home, very flexible. Supervision is consistent and helpful.

    Cons

New management. Have favorites so some workers are not held to the program requirements. Said special employees bring what appear to be gifts to the supervisor allowing the special treatment. Looks like bribery. Some employees get written up for things the special employees get away with.

    Advice to Management

Follow your own rules. Lead by example and remember people talk and your secrets are not so secret. Treat each employee the same. Give the same expectations to everyone.
