I worked at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Location, some benefits, few good people.

    Cons

Terrible supervisors, double standards, favorites, no way to advance, boss will make you look bad over nothing. Wish HR could see the real problem and do something.

    Advice to Management

Don't be condescending 24/7 like you are Ernie Boch, talk to people like a human, that bad energy is not healthy and will come back to you some day.

I have been working at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Love my co-workers, they're like my second family. Supervisor is awesome and very caring and understanding to all of the employees.

    Cons

Upper management only care about bringing more money in. Seems like no complaints are taken seriously when brought to their attention.

    Advice to Management

Give better pay to your employees. Clearly your competitors have received the hint since a lot of medical assistants have left Lahey for better paying jobs

I have been working at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

the commute is fine, there are a lot of good people to work with, there are some opportunities if you keep pursuing

    Cons

The pay is poor unless you're absolutely essential, and can really assert yourself. There is a serious disconnect between upper management and the rest of the staff. The drive for numbers has turned the overall mood sour.

    Advice to Management

I honestly don't have enough confidence in the current management that they will be able to fix what's wrong. They continue to promote and create new positions for people who do nothing but cost cut. It's a dead end.
