    Flexible work hours if your professor is lenient.

    Cons

    Payment is by semester and not on a monthly basis. It is deducted from your tuition.

    Pick and drop
    good food

    Cons

    -Very low pay (way lower than market) which makes it hard to concentrate in research
    -Unclear job description i.e. I was hired under X professor but later i was rotated in various projects as per needs
    -Redundant tasks i.e. data entry
    - Centralized and very poor administration
    -No growth or appraisals

    Advice to Management

    Decentralize
    Incentives are not aligned with the mission
    Invest in research assistants - they are the future
    Improve office management
    Be approachable
