RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Laing O'Rourke for more than a year
Pros
- Treat placement students with the same respect as the rest of the engineers - All/Most engineers are willing to teach and help develop students - Good pay
Cons
- Typical with all contracting jobs - long hours ( site dependent but usually 7am-6pm) and expected to participate in weekend shifts if the project requires. However, not a company specific con but more of an industry con. - Lack of communication regarding the placement of students, can turn up to site without management expecting you or prepared for you

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Laing O'Rourke
Pros
Good pay the only good thing
Cons
Lack of health and safety (big times),people forced to work long hours with 1 break. They don't care about nobody. Some people had to travel 3 hours to work each way and then expected to do 11 hr shift. plenty of accidents on site and no measure taken. They have good connection as nobody pick on them.Any other company and site will be close long time ago.If they can do this on big sites where public attention is on... them can't imagine what is happening on smaller ones. They care only about money

To think at people before money, and stop being bullies just because they can.Business can be done in many ways without forgetting about being human
