I worked at Lakeshore Beverage full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Not a desk job. Meet interesting people. Discounts on beer. 35-40 hour weeks were normal. Holiday weeks were typically longer

      Cons

Leaders at the top seemed disconnected from what was happening on the street each day. Continuously adding more things for a sales rep to do without adding pay.

      Advice to Management

Listen to your sales reps when there are ideas or feed back from what they see everyday

I worked at Lakeshore Beverage full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Amid all of the issues, there are more than possible to list, there are some good eggs that truly want to fix the culture and change how things are done. That’s about it unless some free beer hanging around but that was pretty rare.

      Cons

No idea where to start. Could be the 80hr work weeks, working literally every weekend. Having very old useless equipment. Internet would go down constantly, servers would go down constantly. Everyone I talked to had no pay raises in 5yrs. That’s not an exaggeration, 5yrs with no pay raises where every year the “benefits” cost more and more with less and less coverage. Tons and tons of talk with very little to no walk....

      Advice to Management

Overhaul the whole thing. There’s a reason so many people leave in 2months time or less. You sell on the idea that beer is fun and exciting but somehow even ruined that. Everything is so toxic and chaotic that it just needs to start completely from scratch.

I worked at Lakeshore Beverage full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

None really. I would give zero stars but had to leave one to proceed with this. You can get free beer from the breakage pile and maybe go to a sports event

      Cons

Everyone points fingers and hides behind emails to cover their butts. Kind of a boys club. Only certain people are able to succeed or be promoted

      Advice to Management

Treat employees fairly. Pay them what they are worth. Let JR Hand see the reality he has created since taking over.
