I worked at Lakeside Country Club as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Members and benefits are pretty good. Busy year round and the place is beautiful. Uniforms are provided and meals. Hourly staff is amazing!

    Cons

The executive management is very abusive to the staff and they keep their head in the sand letting this abuse happen again and again. The Membership would be very disappointed if they knew this was happening. Absolutely no accountability for the managements abuse.

    Advice to Management

Need to clean house and hire executive team that has integrity and holds everyone accountable including the upper management. Members need to be made aware of this abuse and staff needs to be able to go to the board of directors or the president so this behavior can be held to accountability.

I worked at Lakeside Country Club part-time

    Pros

You can make some good networking connections if you're a student working part-time. The members represent a variety of different professions. The members can also be very generous at times with tipping

    Cons

Some resistance among management to change certain things because it might 'upset the members'

    Advice to Management

Understand that members should be treated equally, and that no member should be seen as more important than another.

I have been working at Lakeside Country Club part-time

    Pros

We work really well as a group. The member's are very nice and we all get along with eachother.

    Cons

I think we need to work as a team is to show new staff the right away to do our job. Also schedule is all was changing and some times in clarification on the little things. We need more staff meetings between each shifts.

    Advice to Management

We are lacking as a team is communication with the kitchen and needing clear directions between the staff.

    Pros

    Nice working environment.
    Friendly members.
    Friendly co-workers
I obtained some experience in my field.
    Minimal supervision.
    Its a beautiful country club.

    Cons

    No incentive to stay.
    Really high turn over rate.
No room for growth or promotion.
    Deception within job description.
    No appreciation for hard work.
    Very boring, no challenges.

    Advice to Management

I would encourage more team work among employees, and everyone seemed to be out for themselves. I also believe employees should be given incentive to work there. It makes workers work harder, and strive for their best.
