I worked at Lakeview full-time for less than a year

    Pros

People were nice. They do a great job at making you feel like you'll be a great fit for the company.

    Cons

They draw you in by telling you they were "very impressed" by your resume and that you were only one of very few people offered for the job. The truth is that they are constantly hiring because people quit so often. You'll see new people or people quit every week. That's not an overstatement. They tell you that you're working up to management and you'll have an office to run in 4-10 months. What you're doing... every single day is running around home depot talking to hundreds of people to sell them a kitchen or bathroom, etc remodel. It's that or going to neighborhoods and soliciting each house for sidings depending on what they assign you. They do try to teach you how to better pitch your speech to customers every morning for around an hour. The rest of your 8-10 hour days is at your store or walking around neighborhoods. So basically, an hour meeting a day until around 10:30am and then from 10:30 to usually 7:30 you'll be going to stores and staying there until you come back to the office at around 7. You have to work Saturdays too. Hours are very long and you don't get compensated for all the hours you work because their time sheets are archaic. You get paid on commission or an hourly wage whichever is higher. There is possibility of good pay, but it varies from week to week depending on how many people go through with your appointments. There are numerous companies like this out there promising you marketing and management experience. While partially true, there's no sense of fulfillment in your work. It's a very monotonous job and one that not many people can stand. I don't recommend this job and for anyone looking at this type of work, just know what you're really getting in to. Most people that get grabbed into this are the younger folks as 85-90% of this entire company are people in their 20s.
