    You can only get 19.5 hours a week maximum.

    I have been working at Lamar University (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I really enjoyed my time with STAIRSTEP. It's a great program that deserves more recognition.

    Cons

    I think the 20 hour limit is very restricting for students as it adds another layer of complexity onto holding a job at Lamar.

    Advice to Management

    I would suggest biweekly payments with taxes always taken out regardless of if it's a stipend or regular check payment.

    One of the biggest advantages of working in the chemistry department is being able to have a good Student/Professor connection. This is very important especially if you will be taking a few chemistry classes. The pay is also above average
