  • can be very quiet at times so always use initiative and long hours in feet all day (in 5 reviews)

    Loved the free makeup. The friends I made will last for years to come.

    Working holidays and weekends was hard when you have a family.

    There was a lot of pressure to sell pre-sell before the gift.

    I worked at Lancome (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great product , great training and met many wonderful people. A class act company to work with. I miss all the great products.

    Cons

    Standing all day is a killer. If things were busy, the day went by quickly, but if the store was slow, the time went by very slow.

    Higher pay

    Pros

    Love the education and constant updating of new products and how they work. Meeting new clients and making life long friends. Perks of gratis and getting to try new products before they hit the shelf. Managers for Lancome are awesome and and extremely supporting.

    Cons

    Competitive pay and commission. Demanding of gift with purchases in hitting goals and making calls.

    From Lancome... Wonderful products , Beautiful history , gratis twice a year , top notch training. Macy's Health coverage & PTO

    Cons

    Lancome Way too many events back to back always all the time, Unachievable go consistently, not enough support to support these events and a follow through, Extreme physical labor that goes with these events .Macy's not enough support over all, Extreme physical labor,no support to support these events too many events, out rages goals, Extreme pressure to open up Macy's cards, they expect you to be successful such as my client and the system doesn't even work but you are still held accountable for that goal and are reprimanded if it not achieved.

    Advice to Management

    If you want these goals to happen it would be nice to get the support that is needed. It would be nice if you even asked how can I help you ? Without us your magic does not happen!

    great experience with the clients, fun working with make up, gratis when there is new product and twice a year

    Cons

    brand manager has favoritism, company doesnt appreciate their employees. meet the goal but dont have commission or not even recognize the effort of the employees.

    talk to the store management to know about how the employees is doing in the store and appreciate the hard work of employees.

    Love working at Dillard's Lancome it's challenging and rewarding.We have great products and lots of support.I love the people I work with. Great friendly customers.

    Cons

    The goals are very high for gifts and have to compete with on line shopping. Sometimes we have very low stock issues.
