I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing upper management and generosity to their employees. I absolutely love the balance and flexibility this company gives me and my family. I have been in the real estate field for over a decade and Land Title is a thorough and honest company.

    Cons

None. I really love working for Land Title. I gave no complaints. They have been wonderful to me and continue to impress me.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!!

I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have currently been back at Land Title for 4 years. After leaving , for 7 years to work at another Title Company, the decision to come back to Land Title was an easy one. I am very proud to work for a Colorado based business that does not "out-source" business to companies overseas and each and every title commitment that is produced by Land Title is done in house. Land Title values each and every one of their employees and goes above and beyond to show their appreciation. Land Title is an amazing organization! Keep up the great work !!!

    Cons

Nothing that is not able to be handled by asking questions

I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Accessible management and ownership. Attention to employee development and happiness.
I have worked for half a dozen title companies in my 35 years in title, only one in the past 16 years... there is a reason I haven't looked elsewhere.

    Cons

Business patterns require overtime on occasion.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company full-time

    Pros

Knowing that the industry can be rather dry, the people there are really cool. Fun to talk to as well as to mingle with. Every manager I've talked to are very fun. They treat the employees well in terms of giving you room to grow (there is a lot of room for growth!) as well as having company outings. Ownership is present, active, and cares about you. Very stable, successful and trusted company in CO.

    Cons

Hard to get a raise, seemingly mandatory two week vacation to start

    Advice to Management

Don't need to be so stick to our guns in terms of rewarding employees.

I worked at Land Title Guarantee Company full-time

    Pros

Good health benefits, and stable company, some training provided and some volunteer opportunities.

    Cons

Worst pay in the title insurance industry. I made in the 5th percentile for my education and experience. Little to no room for advancement or salary increase except by rigid timelines and seniority. Unwilling to listen to employees.

    Advice to Management

Loosen Up. If you are a non customer facing role there is no need to wear professional business attire. Add more time off and work life balance option such as volunteer days and paid holidays. Pay the 50th percentile average for the industry, and cut out discretionary bonuses. Listen to your employees, if you do not pay enough to live in Denver allow people to have more flexible schedules to avoid traffic and unnecessary stress.

I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company part-time

    Pros

Great company community: lots of inner-office events (lunches, holiday parties, etc.), seasonal company events with nice employee "rewards" (prizes, raffles, hotels, etc.)
Large enough company to be resourceful, but not too large to the point where it feels impersonal.
    Professional and nicely-kept offices.
Good hiring process to ensure that members are qualified and will likely be around for a while.
    Room for growth.
Individual office input (individual office voting when implementing new business cards, for example)

    Cons

Can be some disconnect between upper management and "lower" employees.
Too many individual computer systems used, could be more streamlined.

I have been working at Land Title Guarantee Company full-time

    Pros

They do some fun events and activities for their employees.

    Cons

There are too many middle layers of management that they don't actually need. They would probably still be at the same level of efficiency without them.
