I worked at Landing.jobs full-time (More than a year)
Pros
- Learning - Landing.jobs was my first job and gave me the chance to experience so much and learn from literally everybody, since the engineers to the Head of Ops to the CEO. There is a huge learning oriented culture, you fail and you are empowered to learn with it;
- Performance oriented - this can be good and bad, depending on who you are and what you aim for. Personally, this turned me into a much more responsible and good professional, keeping me on track and always pushing my limits to exceed the goals and buuuuurn those performance reviews;
- The culture - it's fun to work at that office, there are very peculiar, diverse and interesting people. Besides the fact people are friendly there, they are an united team.
Cons
- Communication - if you don't keep an eye open and always look forward to get to know what is going on, the communication can be an issue;
Advice to Management
- Manage your internal information as good as you can and keep your communication solid and clear for the all team. Transparency is highly appreciated.
- Don't rush decisions because it has to be done, sometimes it is better to wait.

- Growth mindset that brings ambition and efficiency together.
- A great product ahead of the competition - improved everyday by a competent Product Team.
- Highly committed, determined and dedicated international team.
- Great culture with huge flexibility. People feel encouraged to speak up.
- Office quite well located - city centre.
- Give you the possibility to quickly increase your network, since it's a very popular tech company.
Cons
- The standard hiccups from a fast-paced company: things can change quite fast. In case you're not performance-oriented, maybe this is not the right fit company to you.
- New markets (brand) awareness, especially when dealing with different cultures.
- Communication can be a challenge, especially for less proactive or even introvert employees. If you want to know sometimes you have to ask for it, which is the result of having a lot of projects going on.
Advice to Management
- Don't lose the focus on sustainability.
- Keep promoting an outstanding culture based on training and career growth.
- Keep an eye on overall communication.

I worked at Landing.jobs full-time (More than a year)
Pros
- Since Landing.jobs helps tech people finding jobs that matches their needs, you really feel that you are changing people’s life and making an impact. Also, you help companies from all over the world finding great people.
- If you are ready to get your hands dirty and enter in the “just do it” mode, management team will give you space for that. Your ideas and actions, once proven that they are valuable, the sky is the limit.
- The Product is growing day by day and has a huge potential. The fact that the management allows you to work closely from the Product team it’s a huge asset. You get involved and your opinion matters.
- At Landing you have the space to be autonomous and you have the possibility to take projects ownership. If you are good, growth opportunities will come organically.
- You can be yourself :D Informal and cool environment.
- Young, dynamic and intercultural team. You get loads of fun moments. I made friends for life.
- Flexible schedule and good office location.
- Since I was in the Business Development team, I had the chance to get to know a lot of the Portuguese Tech Ecosystem. The company is still growing, so the possibility to get connections and grow professionally at Landing, is big.
Cons
- The temperature at the office can be a challenge :) Some rooms have now AC, but when you leave these spaces, take a jacket.
- #startup life - you will have really good and happy moments, but be prepared to have some pressure time to time. There are KPI’s to be achieved, and although the management team is not that strict about it, you have to work hard. (Of course this happens everywhere, but just wanted to leave it as a note)
- When Landing is having not the greatest moment, some team members motivation goes really down and affects a bit the other team members. Somehow the "Let’s do this mode” has to come back in these situations.
Advice to Management
- Please continue to give the chance to people to grow inside the company :) You guys are really good at that and I am sure there is talented team members that will help you to grow.
- Time to time, it would be very nice to have team focused workshops or learning sessions. For example, sales training, a marketing workshop… Like this the team can also learn with other people.
- Last but not least, keep up the awesome work you have been doing so far. Proud to be a Lander Alumni.

I worked at Landing.jobs full-time
Pros
Hands on jobs, you really get your hands dirty
Young team and fantastic environment - you get to be friends of your colleagues
Depending on managers there is a lot of autonomy and you get to discover a lot of tricks by yourself which is extremely exciting
If you are ambitious and autonomous, it's a great place to be
Cons
Sometimes the relaxed environment gets counterproductive and the boundaries of a workplace are blurred
The team is too young and unexperienced - a little more knowledge is needed
Top management have very little prior experience in the industry so the market fit is not there yet
People tend to mix motivation with emotion so it gets euphoric in good moments and dramatic in bad moments
One of the founders is a terrible communicator so a lot of things come out totally wrong which might get offensive
If they want to attract talented people they really have to raise salary levels
Advice to Management
Hire less, hire better and raise salaries
Get someone with industry knowledge in your top management
When things go wrong don't blame people in the middle of stressful situations and assume you also make mistakes

Pros
- Good team environment, multicultural and with interesting people collaborating
- Location in the city center
- Big office in a charming building
- Interesting product with growth potential
- Use of agile methodologies and productivity tools like Trello
Cons
- Office cold in winter, sauna hot in summer. Could also use some decor.
- Too many juniors, very few seniors (±4 seniors for 20 juniors)
- Due to the lack of experience of the team, people often don't seem to know where they're heading, so it's very much a trial and error process
- Salaries are generally lower than market average
Advice to Management
Get more intermediates/seniors on the team! It might be more expensive initially, but both the product and the team can gain from it.
