    Pros

    Strong company in its field.

All if management in the order fulfillment department should be replaced to get rid of the toxic culture.

I have been working at Landis+Gyr full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, interesting field, flexible working hours, and they are conscious of life out of work rarely asking for extra hours.

    Cons

Few opportunities for research. This company is very conservative with regard to their designs. This can be a strong quality which helps build in product reliability, but it is professionally frustrating not having the opportunity to work on cutting edge technology.

I have been working at Landis+Gyr full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Stress level is low, good benefits, employee perks.

    Cons

HR is being run off site in a process heavy manner. The hiring on process was a nightmare and much of it would have been better handled by the local staff.

    Advice to Management

Keep decision power local. Not everything done at headquarters works at the remote sites.

    Pros

    - Challenging Projects
    - Friendly Environment
    - Peers respect and recognize your achievements
    - Supervisors and Managers provide guidance at all times
    - Great Benefits Package
    - Lots of opportunities to participate in community service

    Cons

The Co-Op program at Landis+Gyr had just started when I had joined the company. The HR team was working to figure out the best structure for the future students. Over the years, the program has changed a lot and has a definite structure now. They have done a phenomenal job with the new structure and design.

    Advice to Management

The managers and supervisors were extremely helpful and respectful at all times. My manager provided feedback after all my projects which helped me to improve and further develop my skills.

    Pros

Accommodates all types of people with no discrimination.
Work is good, not the most exciting, but you are a contributor.
Management is open to new ideas from you, and are as transparent as management can get.
Monthly meetings with management to discuss products, business, events, etc...
Lunch with Richard Mora every two or so weeks for about 6 people to just hang out, very nice atmosphere.

    Cons

Work is not the most exciting.
Some managers rope you into long conversations that waste a lot of time.
There needs to be more inter-department mingling. It seems like the different branches dont really interact as much.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the openness of management
Dont change anything about the atmosphere... it works well.
Have more lunch time events at ONE location to promote inter-department mingling
