Animals are always happy to see you.
Cons
The turnover rate is so quick I think it’s part of the business model. It’s more lucrative for corporate to never have to give anyone a raise, no one stays long enough. 95% of the employees feel very negatively about the company, everyone is always looking for another job, the other 5% is the top of the chain of command. Growth is sort of dangled in front of you but promotions never go to the hardest working or most qualified candidates, it’s all politics. There is never ending drama, bullying, and other high school behavior in pretty much every dept. Even if you are lucky enough to have a good direct supervisor they cannot really advocate for you because all requests get lost up the chain of command and Landry’s cares SOLELY about money. I have never worked such an emotionally destructive job. Guests are demeaning, pay is dismal, and no matter how hard you work, recognition in nonexistent. I highly recommend applying literally anywhere else, avoid Landrys businesses at all costs.
