    Pros

I loved my coworkers and regulars, decent money, discount program.

    A Corporation Fueled by Greed

    Pros

Coworkers/managers are kind & hardworking people, the discount program is okay for if/when you want to dine at another Landry’s property.

    Cons

Paying money to eat family meal? I’ve never experienced that in other restaurant jobs, it’s tacky. Also, the upper management will see a hardworking employee and take advantage of their work ethic until they’ve drained them of all energy and joy. There is little to no appreciation for hourly employees and the hourly pay is less than competitive in comparison to other upscale restaurants in the area. Also - hourly employees are required to be free on all major holidays but there is NO holiday pay, bonuses, etc. for working through the holiday season (which is grueling).

Retail Dpt Doesn't Care About Employees

    Pros

Great discount program benefits at restaurants, hotels, etc. Free breakfast on Fridays, as well as free soda's/icee's anytime.

    Cons

The managers in my department set extremely unrealistic deadlines on assignments, breeding failure. This is part of the definition of a toxic work environment. By setting these deadlines and not raising the salary of their employees, career unhappiness also ran wild in the department (from multiple different personal conversations). The department itself is very cliquey, and the managers have their favorites in the group (which is wrong by all accounts).

They like to squeeze you like a Lemon

    Dec 6, 2015 - Anonymous Employee

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Competitive Salery and free meals...advancement opportunities are there for those who work...discount program for dining at other owned properties is awesome

    Cons

They will sweeze you like a lemon and make sure that they get every last drop out of you and the staff. Upper management tends to contradict themselves with what they want. Company is so bottom line focused that the top line is often left neglected

Clean & trustworthy restaurants with good food but bad management and work environment

    Feb 5, 2019 - Server/Bartender
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Good food, infrequent complaints by guests, same schedule every week

    Cons

Management attitudes, constant switching up of management, discount program, extensive and ineffective training, it's all about making upper management look good to corporate, nobody cares about you as an employee, frequent mandatory meetings (that are unpaid). Some high ranked 'untouchable' servers and managers are lazy. Lots of unpunished sexual harassment in the workplace (perpetrators have been both servers and managers).
