I have been working at Lands' End part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great clothes, nice working environment with our department, wonderful support from LandsEnd.com, great co-workers and manager

    Cons

Because we are affiliated with Sears and Sears took away the employee discount, we do not get a discount at this time. Being inside Sears is terrible. We could get more sales if we were a free standing store because Sears doesn't pull in customers. LE should be out of Sears stores but he end of 2017 and have more free standing stores.

    Advice to Management

Get out of Sears and get visibility. Our sales would be so much better if we were not hidden in a Sears store inside a dying mall. Get out in the open. Give employees a hire hourly wage and give them raises. Please give us an employee discount. We get so little per hour, the discount made it bearable.

    Pros

The Customers are generally nice and understandable when it comes to conflict steps that happened on our end that we can't control.

    Cons

Sometimes the Land's End pull new sales out of nowhere, without letting their stores know, while the customers know more than we do.

    Advice to Management

Don't Say too much, Don't Say too little.

    Pros

Not too many pros any more.

    Cons

THEY TOOK AWAY OUR STINKING DISCOUNT!! How cheap and sleazy can you get? My co-workers and I are disgusted. This includes Sears employees as well. The rats will soon be leaving this sinking ship.

    Advice to Management

Way to show us how much you value your employees out in the trenches!!

    Pros

Great atmosphere and employees are always thoughtful of the customer. Strong benefits for employees including company discount on all products.

    Cons

There isn't much room to move up in the hierarchy of management. As a result, there is a high amount of employee turnover.

I worked at Lands' End (More than a year)

    Pros

I absolutely loved working there, the people, the environment, and the discount. It was like a big family.

    Cons

The hours were not always reliable. It was totally dependent on the costumer orders on if you could work that day or not.

    Pros

Flexibility, great employee discount, decent pay, good pto

    Cons

If you enjoy working your butt off for little to no appreciation, then this is a job for you. More and more is being demanded of employees here, and receiving nothing in return. No bonus or pay increase has been awarded in years! The company is struggling big time and is losing tons of great employees as well because of it.
