Great work environment and culture . Paid Time and half for overtime hours for people paid hourly not salary . Lots of Free food and goodies for employees . Cons

Very very poor work life balance ! You are expected to work and work and work until you have completed two days of work in one ! The base pay is very very low compared to other companies ! Managers care only that you do not go over the projects budget ! Too much work not enough staff ! You are being worked like a horse, working for two people instead of 1 .

Pros

Very concrete supporting team like IT and CAD team, supportive folks and everyone is extremely diligent. Management team does care the employees career development. Flexibility is big bonus. The CEO is very bright!

Achieving work & life balance in here is very hard! But good for people who seeks fast growth.

- Travel to different areas when they didn't have anything for you to do - Work Life Balance was very off; long hours were required for many projects - Forced to undercut number of hours charged and billed, this became too much of a numbers game to management - Very low starting salary, it would have taken 4-5 years to get comparable pay - Cut-throat competition that did not cater to those in a cooperative team environment

Client first mentality is strong and a lot of pressure is put on staff. Work life balance is dodgy at best Think twice if you are a BIPOC. There are a lot of older managers that have been in the construction industry for a long time. The playing field is not always even and it is hard to hold them accountable.

Langan is a great company to work for. They treat their employees well, offering salaries that are competative with other similar firms, opportunities for bonuses, challenging projects, and the necessary resources to get the job done and done well! I have been at Langan for over 15 years and have advanced my career through these years. The work environment is good with lots of great people that are not only great at what they do but are people that I can call my friends! Langan creates a family environment offering opportunties to attend baseball games, holiday parties, themed lunches, etc. They have started to offer more flexible/mobile work opportunities with the introduction of laptops and use of VPNs so that you can connect to the network remotely.

Cons

Work life balance has in the past has been challenging but it is defintely getting better with the introduction of more fexible/mobile work opportunties! They also need to offer more project managment training.
