I worked at Langham Hotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice hotel. Changing vision to stay competative in a changing market. Worked with creative people. Benefits were very nice. Meals provided.

    Cons

Operations let down on promises to clients which is frustrating- sell the dream and under deliver. A lot of personnel changes, no real consistent leadership. No development of staff. Shady happenings throughout the departments. Unchecked attitudes.

    Advice to Management

Staff has changed dramatically since my departure. Hope change has been good for you.

    Advice to Management

Diversify your executive team. Recognize those who pick up the slack when others leave. Encourage teamwork and enforce respect.Loosen up and stop playing cnn in the lunch room it creates tension and inappropriate conversation

I worked at Langham Hotels part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working at The Langham Chicago. Good pay, great people to work with, professional management, free meals, beautiful workspace, and ongoing training were among many benefits.

    Cons

During my time at The Langham Chicago I found very few things to complain about. If I was to nitpicking I would have to mention the daily uniform scramble and that some of the training was a bit much.

    Advice to Management

During my time at The Langham Chicago I found the management to be supportive, professional, organized, and good natured. They led by example and treated our team with respect.
