I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions full-time

    Pros

The company offers health, dental and life insurance along with a company match (retirement). Work at home employment options (saves on clothes, food plus working from home allows for additional tax deductions-office space etc.). Flexible schedule. The company occasionally provides a yearly bonus to certain level employees. Paychecks are always received on time and never bounce.

    Cons

Heavy workload. Salary is not competitive. Whenever raises are given, the raises are extremely low, just a few cents on the dollar.

    Advice to Management

Raises should be consistent and more significant.

I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

For interpreters, the work-at-home model works out very well. No commute, no dress code!! Support is offered through the Help Desk, and management Teams. This is ideal for most. Plus the opportunity to help your language community appeals to a lot of people. During the course of your daily interpretation calls, you learn so much about so many different industries which is a benefit.

    Cons

Working alone can be a factor for some.

I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It is very rewarding to be part of a company that provides a valuable service to so many in need. I am proud to be part of a team that is building bridges between
people of diverse cultures and languages. I feel my co-workers and I are truly "part of the solution"- bringing people together in a very fractured world.

    Cons

Sometimes resources are tight and needed process improvements don't happen as fast as we'd like them to.

    Advice to Management

More transparency around career opportunities for internal candidates at all levels.

I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent but I heard otherwise. Hopefully it will stay this way. I like the fact that I am able to work from home.

    Cons

I heard eventually everyone will switch to a new system and start doing video interpreting, which I may not enjoy. My major complaint is that some of the calls have very bad connection which makes it hard for me to hear and interpret.

    Advice to Management

During the hiring process, everyone was very cordial and attentive, but afterwards management is less attentive after getting on board.
