    Pros

    - Competitive Salary (Best salary for position)
    - Great Commission ($100 per lease)
    - Great Benefits (Health, Dental, 401k - company match on certain %)
Overall, great company. I had a great team. Worked in property management industry for some time and this company was the best by far!

    Cons

Worked in an area that did not have a corporate office. So there was parallel communication. Also, same area only had one property so no advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

If advancement opportunities arise - consider hiring within or consider employees first before automatically hiring outside.
Join local/state apartment associations/memberships and allow employees (not only community managers) to attend conferences and meetings. Some employees would love to attend to learn more about the industry (new technology, current events, etc.).

    Pros

Large company, good benefits, mostly nice people.

    Cons

They lack focus on what's important and leadership is surface only. They are not well structured for multifamily success. Not a good company to work for, if you're a professional.

I worked at Laramar Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Loved working with my co-workers
    Friendly Corporate Team

    Cons

So much turn over, they went through a lot of downsizing as a company.
Felt like we had to cut everything to the bare bones at times. Hard to operate.

    Advice to Management

Executive team should be more involved with on-site people and some of the corporate employees.

I worked at Laramar Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I'm not sure I have anything positive to say about my experience at Laramar.

    Cons

Although this company's leadership likes to speak of being willing to improve and change, they don't walk the talk. They refuse to move beyond "this is how we've always done it". Additionally, the accounting department leadership team don't know how to manage people. What they choose to get wound up about is how someone's personality comes across not whether they can actually perform their given job tasks. Stay far, far away from this place!

I have been working at Laramar Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've worked for Laramar for just under a year and I couldn't be more happy! Compensation and benefits are outstanding. Work/Life balance isn't just words - I see it in action ALL the time!

Excellent co-workers both in and out of the Marketing Team.

The best part is that the leadership is hungry for new ideas and process improvements which is my passion! Instead of hearing 'oh yeah, good idea but we can't do that' blah blah, I hear "let's see how we can make that happen". And it happens QUICK! It's not 'oh, maybe we could consider that for next year'. Laramar is making things happen NOW!

Looking forward to many years with Laramar growing and helping them become an even stronger leader in property management!

    Cons

I'd like to see more cross-team collaboration. The more we can get away from our silos the stronger we'll be. This is definitely already starting to happen - the 2017 Budget process is an excellent example.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the momentum! As you continue to hire people with solid industry experience and are open to their input the stronger we'll all be!
