I worked at Laramar Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Competitive Salary (Best salary for position)
    - Great Commission ($100 per lease)
    - Great Benefits (Health, Dental, 401k - company match on certain %)
Overall, great company. I had a great team. Worked in property management industry for some time and this company was the best by far!

    Cons

Worked in an area that did not have a corporate office. So there was parallel communication. Also, same area only had one property so no advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

If advancement opportunities arise - consider hiring within or consider employees first before automatically hiring outside.
Join local/state apartment associations/memberships and allow employees (not only community managers) to attend conferences and meetings. Some employees would love to attend to learn more about the industry (new technology, current events, etc.).

    Pros

There are no pros I can think of. My manager was insufferable and i essentially sub stained a significant cut in pay due to their deceptive verbal commitments.

    Cons

Everything. I was promised a free apt and high bonuses. When
Upon starting, I realized the CM lied to me. Bonuses were far below industry standards and had to pay $800 for my "free" apt.Corporate dismissed my complaints so I quit quickly after. None of the employees at our community felt valued or respected.

    Advice to Management

Compensate and value your employees more.

    Pros

Large company, good benefits, mostly nice people.

    Cons

They lack focus on what's important and leadership is surface only. They are not well structured for multifamily success. Not a good company to work for, if you're a professional.

    Pros

    Loved working with my co-workers
    Friendly Corporate Team

    Cons

So much turn over, they went through a lot of downsizing as a company.
Felt like we had to cut everything to the bare bones at times. Hard to operate.

    Advice to Management

Executive team should be more involved with on-site people and some of the corporate employees.
