I worked at Laramie County Community College part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Works well with class schedule because student is scheduled to work around school schedule. Commute it good when you live in the dorms.
Supervisors and other workers are helpful in training student for position.
    Friendly and positive working environment.

    Cons

You must be a student at the college to have a student federal work study position.
It is open for only students who meet needs.
Scholarships and other aid awards are limited or less for a student worker which sucks.

I worked at Laramie County Community College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

LCCC facilitates growth with students and faculty through scientific research at a community college level. This provides a great place for growth and development in the natural science fields.

    Cons

As with any institution conducting scientific research, funding can be difficult but LCCC does its best to ensure grants are written to continue research projects.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Laramie County Community College full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working with students achieve their education goals

    Cons

No leadership from president to low management directors. The school is managed by a small president lead click. Decisions are not to benefit student success. President does not believe in long term employment; wants a three year turn over in faculy and staff.

    Advice to Management

Learn what leadership is and the benefit it offer the college.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Laramie County Community College full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people here are great and the leaders have a vision. I appreciated the fact that they weren't afraid to ruffle some feathers to meet their goal. If you don't like an advancing institution where change happens often, this is not the place for you.

When I say change I mean working towards better way to serve the community and the students.

    Cons

Tough to advance without a degree beyond a bachelors.
