Larson Financial is continually voted a Top Workplace which goes beyond simply providing a paycheck. A great group of people who come together to provide the BEST to their clients and it shows. Happy employees make for happy customers!

    Cons

Tough industry to work in so some do not stick it out long.

    Pros

Good work/life balance and very understanding. Can develop a carer if you are a brown noser and can become one of the favorites.

    Cons

Doesn't train, too political, doesn't care about the lives of their employees.

    Advice to Management

Take classes on how to manage a sales floor would be a great start.

    Pros

Nice people to work with, many just keep quiet about their concerns

    Cons

This company is commiting fraud, selling financial services that will come back to bite them, Paul Larson is out of his league. He has no clue what he is doing. Building resorts now ,,,
Human resources is a joke,,, no experience ,,,

    Advice to Management

Smarten up and quit with the prayers and expanding so quickly

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Larson Financial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company truly cares about clients and employees and is ethical, honest and professional in dealing with both.

    Cons

The nature of the industry (not the company's fault) is ups and downs in sales and production. Consistency is a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Keep on with what you're doing. Our company features a family atmosphere, a true open-door policy, and excellent benefits.

I worked at Larson Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The owners, Jack and Ron, really care about the employees. They trust their associates, and have a team environment.

    Cons

The pay is commissioned based. You must sell large amounts of new retainer each month to make a good living. Also, the files come from a sales floor. These folks are also commission pay based, so they may say whatever it takes to close the deal. Then it is your problem!

I worked at Larson Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Paycheck was always good.

    Cons

Paycheck is determined by other people and their production.

    Advice to Management

Prospectors are your lifeblood, but not paid like it.

    Pros

You can truly pride yourself in working for owners who care about their employees and clients and strive to provide the best service possbile.

    Cons

Tax resolution is sometimes thought of as a negative industry. There are no cons to working at Larson, just a challenging industry.

    Pros

    - Family owned company that the owners genuinely seem to care about their employees and their opinions

    - One of the few honest tax resolution companies out there

    - flexibility in my job to be able to move in new directions when I think it's necessary

    - Lot of nice little perks - Donuts/Bagels in the morning, company bicycles to use, company events (holiday parties, picnics), the list goes on..........

    - they donate a lot of $ to great organizations!!

    Cons

    - Communication can be very lacking, especially in management with employees- however they seem to have begun working on this. (I've worked at alot of companies and this is a common problem)

    Advice to Management

Larson Financial needs to stick to its roots as an ethical, family owned business, even as it continues to grow. It has an honest desire to help people, which really differs it from the competition. It needs to get that commitment out to people.

Obviously communication needs to be improved.

    Pros

The best reasons to work at LFI are:
1.) Ability to balance life issues with work (i.e. sick child, school function).
2.) Ability to speak with owners.
3.)Customer Service is superior to other companies in the industry.

    Cons

The worst reasons to work at LFI are:

1.) Owners and management lie to employees frequently.
2.) Gossip/rumors about employees are acted on by upper management before the allegations are investigated.
3.) Company operates re-actively instead of proactively.

    Advice to Management

My advice to LFI would be to start actually operating ethically like the company is portrayed to be.
