I worked at Las Vegas Sands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You will certainly work in and/or with multiple departments in any job, and learn more about the company, and there are many Vegas comps if you work hard.

    Cons

You are expected to work evenings and weekends during large conventions, to assist with the large crowds, and stay positive.

    Advice to Management

I wished there was more parking for employees.

    Pros

Is a great place to work, with great benefits especially if you are a team member, in the management area is different and more challenging but a great option too.

    Cons

The quality of guest that arrive to the property, most of the times are not up to standards, so you will see groups of people up to 10 staying in the same suite to pay for a service that they cannot afford on themselves and are the most problematic ones.

    Advice to Management

They are very open in the team members promotion and is a great place if you want to learn and enhance your skills.

    Pros

Benefits are the best in the Hospitality Industry.
They pay overtime for over 40 hours a week, even for an office position.
    Good cooperation and office environment.

    Cons

Food for team members in buffet could be better.
Christmas is only one paid holiday for office employees.
LV properties are not growing so there is not much room for promotion.

    Advice to Management

Promote team members who is capable of moving company forward, not just because they have been there of X # of years.

    Pros

Great benefits and insurance. Probably the best benefits on the Las Vegas strip. Well known company and brand. Mostly pleasant work environment.

    Cons

Too much office politics. A lot of favoritism. Many times, problems go unnoticed and never get fixed. Hard work doesn't always pay off here.

    Advice to Management

Instead of favoring who you like sometimes it's better to favor who is working hard and actually an asset to the company.
