    Pros

Good work life balance. A lot of opportunities to learn and take on responsibilities.

    Cons

Management micromanages things that they shouldn't even be a part of. Management doesn't trust employees even though everyone is smart and talented.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees; they're smarter than you think.

    I worked at Laserfiche full-time

    Pros

The company is a family run company. The company gives new employees a lot of responsibility right away. Free lunches are provided by the company every day.

    Cons

The relatives of the founder are free to berate employees during meetings for no real reason. This happens fairly regularly. There is no recourse when this happens. Management is indecisive and prone to making reactionary decisions.

I worked at Laserfiche full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Growth area and interesting sector, moreover the major clients are governments which are always growing

    Cons

Competition with h1-b visa folk to keep wages low, have to fight for pay increases and once you have then you are at greater risk for termination, do have 401k match, but it seems like this is a way for the company to hide money from taxes, not many people last more than2 years.

    Advice to Management

Support needs to report to sales always never development

I have been working at Laserfiche full-time

    Pros

Employees are young, fun and smart. Free lunch. 401k match is good. Open and bright work space.

    Cons

Senior management doesn't trust employees even mid-level managers. Senior management doesn't have a long term vision. A lot of the decisions are for short term benefits and hurt long term benefits of the company. Turn over is extremely high among employees.

    Advice to Management

Get some professionals to do the job!

I have been working at Laserfiche full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Free lunch.
    - Most people are young/recent grads which makes it easy to connect with others.
    - They give you a lot of responsibility right off the bat.
    - A few of the departments have really great managers.
    - Most people are very nice and fun to work with.

    Cons

    - Although free, lunch sometimes gets tiresome when it's generally the same week after week.
    - There is a general feeling of being treated like children. Not great for morale. There is high turnover for a reason.
    - Employee training is lacking.
    - Some people/managers are extremely unpleasant to work for/with.
    - Transparency is lacking. Management's reasons on doing things are too often not clear, not understood, and not explained.

I have been working at Laserfiche full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Laserfiche is a great place to start a career fresh out of college. You really have an opportunity to hit the ground running and make your own way without a whole lot of training. You will very quickly be working directly with a wide variety of clientele.

    Cons

The caveat to the pros is that there really is not a lot of guidance and training for how to do your work. You are expected to churn out results but there isn't particularly good direction on how to get there. The other major problem is that there is a very low ceiling in terms of growth potential. I say get in, work for 2-3 years max and move on.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should hire external experts instead of constantly hiring fresh college grads. The college grad network is great for young youthful energy, but we are missing out on vital real industry expertise because everyone in the company is for the most home grown.
