I worked at Laureate Education full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Laureate Education is a place where you are invited to propose new ideas and work hard to convince people to adopt it. Once done, you receive the funding you need and get rewarded for your success.

    Cons

A dynamic environment, it can be hard for certain profiles to adapt to rapidly changing strategies.

    Advice to Management

Keep challenging the status quo of education and maintain students at the center of everything you do.

I have been working at Laureate Education full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There is a lot of opportunity to have an impact in your role both within your own team's responsibilities and to work with other departments to make improvements. It is a fast paced environment with strong leaders who truly care about the mission and direction of the company and its employees.

    Cons

Not all employees are open to change which can make it difficult to work together to make improvements or meet requirements.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Laureate Education full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good compensation (at least I was happy) and a very generous yearly bonus. You have the option of working from home, which promotes a good work-life balance.

    Cons

    - No clear objectives - Incompetent leadership: They don´t have a clear focus, they keep changing and it seems they are not hiring people with leadership profiles. - Unstable environment: every year since 2015 they conduct massive lay-offs - It never was clear what their vision and mission were as it always kept changing.

    Advice to Management

Review your objectives, mission, and vision, and for once, stick to them! Review your leadership profiles. Just because they earn less than the next, doesn´t mean they are fit to be people leaders. Promote professional growth.
