I have been working at Lavanda full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Exciting company with a very promising future - Senior management team are all incredibly clever and great with people so they are very inspiring to learn from and to work with - CEO (and rest of senior team for that matter) are all extremely passionate about what they do and also about the culture of the company in general. They care for each individual and their future and value every single person which... really shows throughout the general morale of the company. - Weekly snack delivery of nice coffee, tea, snacks, fruit, etc. - Weekly company wide update presentation so everybody is kept up to date with all goings on so everything happening in the company is fully transparent - The team in general are all very friendly and fun (and very clever) so really pleasant to work with. It's important to have people who share your passion and drive to get things done and that is reflected in every single employee - Good central office location (and nice offices) - Opportunity to learn a lot and grow quickly within your role (or in other parts of the business if you prefer) - Frequent team and company lunches - Working from home flexibility and time off if needed - Working hours are normal despite being a startup (9-6) which is not the case at a lot of other startups. You give it your all and work hard but within normal working hours, the SMT understand that you have a life to live outside of work and actively encourage that. - I honestly can't say enough good things about the culture and company as a whole. It is so great to be a part of a team who cares so much about what they are doing and that has created such a positive working environment for everybody.

    Cons

    - I genuinely do not have a bad word to say. That sounds fake! But I really can't think of one.

    - Keep up your amazing dedication. We are all very inspired by you and are lucky to work with and learn from you!

I have been working at Lavanda full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Really nice environment and team to work with. There is the opportunity to move up within the company from an entry level role to a management position. There is a big emphasis on development and promoting from within

    Cons

I wouldn’t say it’s a negative but you must be prepared to be involved with a fast growing company. Too many snacks to choose from!

I have been working at Lavanda full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If I could highlight one thing it would be great team. I have worked in a lot of different organisations and can say with confidence that great people hire great people. Lavanda hires carefully and well, and that single fact results in a great dynamic and really impressive results for the business. Some others: - Salaries are good for startup turning scale up - Strong company values of honesty and... integrity - Great CEO with strong vision and great SMT - Most, if not all, employees have skin in the game in some form, mostly options which for a company growing this fast is actually meaningful - Good ideas are listened to and acted on

    Cons

Not exactly a con, but you need to be comfortable with a fast-moving environment, which is not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at Lavanda full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people that work at Lavanda are some of the most inspirational people I've met in my professional career. It's a diverse, hungry team. Fast moving, yet has managed to maintain a good culture growing from 10 -> 50+ employees in just over a year. There's also a lot of opportunity to learn from other teams and move around in the business as the company grows and evolves.

    Cons

More direct focus on personal and professional growth would be great. Also, things move and change fast here, so it requires a somewhat open mindset. Not for everyone, but the people that enjoy it love it.

    Advice to Management

Maybe setup more of the "lunch & learn" session to help everyone understand what the rest of the business is working on and what the challenges are. Keep up the great work!

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Lavanda full-time

    Pros

Job had some quiet days where shifts were flexible.

    Cons

The management team treats workers awfully. Employee complaints were never handled effectively, shifts regularly exceeded contracted hours with no compensation. There is an incredibly high staff turnover rate because working there for a long time is completely unsustainable under the conditions.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating workers like disposable objects.

I worked at Lavanda full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free drinks at staff parties - that's about it.

    Cons

    - incredibly stressful work environment - manipulative management - complete disregard towards previous agreements - unpaid, mandatory overtime - rarely flexible with working hours - oblivious and/or careless senior management - profit driven

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff's concerns and try finding viable solutions and compromises that benefit your staff and not solely the company.
