    Pros

-The employees are what keep people here. They are great!
    -Employee recognition events
    -Differential rates
-Direct supervisor is extremely flexible with time off if needed

    Cons

-SEVERELY SHORT STAFFED in what seems to be all departments
-Management tries to do more with less
    -Employees are burnt out
-Per diem pay in our dept
    -Broken equipment
-Employees sometimes feel like they cannot take proper breaks
-Working alone in a dangerous and potentially life threatening environment
-Company does not care about the safety of employees or patients because they will not hire more staff
-Middle management's hands are tied because upper management won't give them proper staffing to create a better environment/workflow but then they complain about numbers/productivity
-EXTREMELY high turnover rate with employees
-Crazy schedule due to being short staffed

    Advice to Management

I actually like our department's middle management team but I feel as stated above that their hands are tied. Upper management needs to look at the cons above to make a better environment for patients and employees

I have been working at Lawnwood Medical Center (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is above average in my opinion for this area. Staff works well as a team for the most part.

    Cons

Management seems to not know what is going on at all times. Does not show appreciation for staff. No room for growth due to management not understanding what goes on within the department.
