    Pros

Great place to do research and work in a university setting close to best faculty. Also attractive area and not much traffic commuting to work.

I have been working at Lawrence Berkeley Lab full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great life/work balance, great people in general: friendly environment, and great minds. Flexibility in terms of changing groups, etc. (depending on funding...)

    Cons

Slow paced at times, lack of motivation from a lot of folks here overall. Micro-management at times (specific to my case though). The work isn't very innovative or interesting on a long basis.

    Advice to Management

More flexibly in the way the analyses we do are performed. Use less Excel. Write more papers.
