    Pros

Great working environment, cool people, and the ability to develop strong as well as dynamic leadership skills.

    Cons

Minimal pay, must be a student at Lawrence University, must be recommended by instructor/ person to apply, sometimes any/ all meetings including staff meetings can run longer than expected.

I worked at Lawrence University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great intellectual vibe. People are nice and most of the time know what they are doing. The school is small so it's a tight-knitted community.

    Cons

It's a cliche to say this but the winter in Wisconsin is crazy. If you are okay with walking through a few feet of snow to get to work then the place is alright after all.

I have been working at Lawrence University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tech Crew allows you to set your own schedule and work the gigs that interest you. Meeting student, faculty, and visiting musicians is rarely dull, as everyone is very passionate about their art. Your coworkers are some of the coolest cats on campus.

    Cons

Because the boss has a type-A, overly analytical personality you must be able to accept criticism readily. Also it can get really boring backstage, so bring some homework.

    Advice to Management

Be more relaxed and have more confidence in your employees.

I have been working at Lawrence University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Best job on campus
Get to learn how to bar tend at 18 instead of 21 like in most states
    Flexible hours

    Cons

Have to work nights, usually weekends, and definitely every party in the bar which is frustrating if you want to join in.
You start as a barback, then become bartender

    Advice to Management

    Scheduling can be annoying.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Lawrence University full-time

    Pros

Looks good on a resume being a prestigious institution.

    Cons

Lawrence has had extremely high turnover within the last year due to pay inequities, management being solely focused on looking good to the public, and terrible pay and benefits. As people are leaving left and right, no questions are being asked. The majority of employees are unhappy in their positions making the culture negative. Sadly, I think this is just the beginning of even more turnover.
