    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Le Moyne College full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

True desire to integrate Jesuit values throughout all programs

    Cons

Complaints are not handled timely or efficiently. Appears to be multiple incidences of hiring under-qualified personnel in key administrative positions.

    Advice to Management

Need to work on taking reports of potential problems in academic programs seriously at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

I have been working at Le Moyne College part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This place is very vibrant when everyone is in the den. The manager is very understanding.

    Cons

I can get boring if they are no customers.

    Advice to Management

Get the job done without any excuses.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Le Moyne College full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Many, many people who truly care about students... who will go the extra mile to help them. A great tight knit community, but who are also open to new comers.

    Cons

Many employees question about whether the college is staying true to its mission; (ie social justice) what it values, and where money is spent. As with many colleges, financial stressors are real, but some recent budget cuts are impacting quality.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be an increased awareness and re-commitment to Le Moyne's mission and Ignatian values. This is what drew great employees to this college. There is a lack of trust in upper administration, and that needs alot of work.

    Pros

Collegiality and the sense that we share a mission

    Cons

It's rather isolated from other higher ed institutions

    Advice to Management

Consider that faculty offices are rather dingy

    Pros

Led to me getting a full-time tech job. Lots of opportunity to learn, get what you put in.

    Cons

Pay is really bad, only justifiable because it's on-campus. Look at this job as a stepping stone.

I worked at Le Moyne College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Had a terrific opportunity to give back to the community and assist high school students. It was a very rewarding experience.

    Cons

Was isolated from other college employees (stationed at a local high school). Constant threat of losing funding for LPP and STEP programs.

    Advice to Management

Make it clear that the tutors are valued and important members of the team. Be more involved in the day-to-day activities of the school.

    Pros

Really enjoyed my time working at Le Moyne College. Close-knit community that will work hard and will open doors down the road.

    Cons

The position was part-time so you need to find a second job.
