    Pros

    It's exciting to have an impact and not just be a number at a bigger company. Everyone works hard and cares about what they do.

    Cons

    Most of the sales people come and go. It's getting much better over the past year but there have been some real questionable characters in there in the past. I guess that's just sales but I'm glad it's changing.

    Advice to Management

    Keep hiring better sales people.

    Pros

    Enjoyed the fast paced environment.

    Cons

    Horrible leadership, no rewards for hard work, no ability to move up, no respect. People get fired at the drop of the hat. No stability.

    Advice to Management

    No culture at all - reward hard workers.

    I worked at LearnSmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I don't have anything good to say, unfortunately. The commute could have been worse, I suppose.

    Cons

    The worst thing about the place was the quality of the employees. The company claims to be in the education business, but no one around me had any education worthy of the word. I say "claims to be" for a reason -- it's actually a Call Center, pawning off appallingly poor-quality courses at absurdly high prices. I was embarrassed to work there, to tell the truth. I was micro-managed to a degree I've never before encountered and monitored so closely you'd think they were afraid I'd steal their paper-clips. It was a thoroughly unprofessional place and just as thoroughly unpleasant. I shudder when I think back on it.

    Advice to Management

    I have no advice. The management is the problem. I consider them swindlers, nothing more.

    The only pro was being able to work from home

    Cons

    Very dishonest company. The President will continuously try to short you of commissions. Opportunity for advancement is very limited and company is very unstable financially.

    Pros

    Great web site and IT courses, good people that you work with other than that nothing else would not recommend

    Cons

    Poor leadership forget advancement no stability, look over your shoulder hourly and expect to be yelled at and degraded on a hourly basis

    Get new managemnet

    It was an easy commute.

    Low salaries, micro-management, poor quality product.

    Honesty would be a better policy.

    Pros

    Good Compensation, Regular Bonus Structure, Comfortable and flexible work environment, Good Work/Life balance, put in the work = get rewarded

    Cons

    Economy is tough like everywhere else right now - so sometimes that can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in your employees and providing incentives to keep them motivated. Keep innovating and creating new products to satisfy our client base.

    Pros

    The offices in Tampa are centrally located.

    Cons

    The leadership constantly plays games with its staff as well as the general public. Style and image are key to them. Substance and true educational content come a very distant second.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the masquerade. You are over your heads. Find input from leaders in the industry and seek their advice because you have the beginnings of a good company but it will never thrive with the culture and mentality you have developed on your own.

    Pros

    The intent of the company is good in that they seek to create a large library of corporate trainings.

    Cons

    Because the quality of the content created is often poor and the vague purchase contracts used, too much time is spent by the company on collecting unpaid sales and asnwering customer complaints.

    Advice to Management

    Instead of creating as much content as possible, focus on one piece at a time until it is complete and has been tested to be effective in the workplace.

    Pros

    You can develop experience that you can use at a more established company. This place is a decent stepping stone but you will not want to stay here long term.

    Cons

    Biggest problem is the company's BBB rating. It is hard for the sales team to overcome customer concerns when there are so many documented complaints against the company.

    Advice to Management

    Rename the company, again. Then make sure you develop and maintain strong relationships with your customers.
