    Pros

Good benefits, excellent interview techniques and onboarding practices. Pay is average for the area. Talented, capable and friendly coworkers.

    Cons

Think very hard before moving to the area and hiring into Lee Health which has a monopoly in Lee County and the surrounding area. Workload goes up exponentially during 'Season'; that is when snowbirds are here approximately October through April. Staffing in the lab virtually does not increase during 'Season'. Just work faster, and you will be strongly encouraged to not work overtime. As far as scheduling goes, Administration and especially HR are not able to think outside of the box. It's a case of 'We've always done it this way.' The physical layout of the lab is not conducive to efficiency. Although the mantra is 'excellence in patient care', the almighty dollar rules.

Thank you for your candid review. The "pro" to Lee Health taking care of the majority of the community is economy of scale. Purchases and services are less expensive in higher numbers. This is a benefit to patient costs, employee total rewards among other improvements in infrastructure. We encourage you to give your suggested improvements directly to your leaders. Your service to the community is appreciated!

Great company and very much like a family

    Pros

Lee Health is definitely heading in a great direction and take their employee surveys to heart. It is a comfortable place to work and I feel comfortable talking to my leadership. I feel valued in my position.

    Cons

They are a bit unorganized and outdated, but they are making major steps to correct those flaws. Some of the leadership and managers have a very outdated way of thinking and should work harder to be open to change and the 21st century way of doing things.

    WORST HOSPITAL SYSTEM EVER

    Pros

    Can not think of one.

    Cons

Lee memorial health system is corrupt to it's core. They treat their staff like trash and fire them for getting cancer. They let the upper staff go against policy and work from home but won't allow the lower staff to. You have to be a favorite to get anywhere. Jim Nathan could care less so don't bother going to him. He's more concerned about padding his pockets with Golisano money. It will all come to light though as Wink is running the story on how bad this system is.

    Pros

There are not many pros, but they do have good health insurance

    Cons

Lee health does not care about their employees. Management and pay is awful. I would never recommend anyone to work here
