    Pros

I have been with Legacy for over 16 years. Excellent CEO. Supportive Leadership. . Great culture and pay. Caring workplace. Awesome coworkers. Fair with expectations for job performance. Cannot say enough about this amazing place! I am impressed with the growth of this healthcare systems and their strategic planning for the future.

    Cons

Benefits: Would prefer to have copay versus coinsurance with health plan. Also wish tuition reimbursement was better.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to staff input for problem solving. Continue to ask for feedback from staff for feedback on benefits to gauge satisfaction and areas for improvement.

I have been working at Legacy Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I absolutely love my job, and it's not a position that's available at a lot of hospitals nationwide. I am well-respected in my department and feel like I hit the lottery regarding my manager. Good Samaritan in particular has a very relaxed but professional, family-like culture. Coming from the for-profit end of healthcare, I appreciate Legacy's values as a NFP and especially as compared to Catholic hospitals in the area whose service offerings are limited by their non-evidence based beliefs, and who are notably absent from community events such as the yearly Pride parade. Benefits are excellent, at least compared to for-profit clinics, which are my background.

    Cons

Big hospital systems come with lots of red tape and delays in getting things accomplished. I've had some information systems requests take as long as 14 months to get completed. Having a manager who's willing to go to bat for you helps though.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees about which areas are of highest concern. It seems a lot of projects are started at the expense of ones that seem to staff and patients to be of higher priority. Some flexibility in budgeting could be of benefit to the organization as priorities often change more frequently than once per fiscal year.
