    Not competitive pay, human resources doesn't always push your application through even if you qualify and growth opportunities are limited.

    Excellent benefits
    Legacy strives to "do the right thing" and is a leader in supporting healthy communities, especially the disadvantaged populations.

    Cons

    Because the organization is so large and complex, solving problems that affect multiple departments can be challenging.

    I have been working at Legacy Health full-time

    Pros

    Legacy has an intended mission of caring for patients, employees, and visitors in a kind a loving manner regardless of your age, gender, etc.

    Cons

    They have the worst insurance for their employees I have ever had in my employment history. For a healthcare facility, they don't value their employees very much.

    Pros

    Legacy tries to do what is right for the community and its employees. The employees are what makes this organization great.

    Cons

    No clear leadership succession planning. Legacy have been losing experienced and emerging leaders because of this.

    They are growing rapidly, which affects staffing loads.

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in the community. But start investing in leadership training and planning for your employees.

    I worked at Legacy Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Actively engaged in the community giving back. Nice health benefits package

    Cons

    Too many meetings. Back-to-back meetings don't allow for time to complete actual work. Work life balance is extremely challenged; especially for management. No margin for error. Paid time off bundled into 20 days per year - includes 6 recognized holidays from which PTO is used to cover. This is about half of similar organizations.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more time off and let up on the meetings

    401k, great benefits, competitive pay, employee respect, safe environment

    Cons

    patient population, overworked, management is prone to making decisions with out knowledge of impact on staff.

    Advice to Management

    Recognize and support motivated employees

    They treat you like dirt, work you to death and don't pay you well or offer any benefits.
