    Pros

Pay is decent for a non profit org. Company paid life insurance after 1yr of service. Company contributed retirement plan.

    Cons

7 year Pay freeze. Quick burn out. No employee-targeted events. No bonuses for reaching beyond productivity. Big turnover rate. Pay could be higher/ yearly raise for work required of employee.

    Pros

Benefits are decent compared to other companies.

    Cons

Very little support from supervisors. Expected to cover for other employees with no thanks or support to catch up on your own work. More concerned with filling beds than with providing needed therapy for residents. This is a frustrating atmosphere for those who really care about the residents.

I have been working at Legacy Treatment Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are absolutely no pros about working for Legacy.

    Cons

It is extremely difficult to work 6.5 hours in a row without a lunch break. There is always a shortage of staff. It takes about an extremely long period of time to be hired. There are strict stipulations involving a driver's license .This is a for profit company and you will just be another number. The healthcare premiums are too expensive. The pay is much less for more hours. Most schools give every teacher a 30 minute lunch break to teachers and staff undisturbed and a prep period during the day. Para professionals at Legacy appear to only care about eating during instructional time and texting, even though this isn't allowed. Most teachers are burnt out at the end of the day.

    Advice to Management

The students are running the school. Para professionals with no degree or degrees in liberal arts are telling certified teachers how to do their job, which is highly unprofessional. This system has not been working for 15 years. Having high school and middle school students doing work sheets all day is not helping them . Perhaps if you paid teachers more, have them a normal schedule and students actually had consequences for their actions there might be more staff within the school.

    Pros

The wages and benefits are the highlights to working for this company on a personal level. On a more important professional level the way they care for their residents is 2nd to none. Supervisors let you do your job here and are available to assist even after hours during any type of crisis situation.

    Cons

Some older vehicles should be replaced. I feel that more staff appreciation events would increase morale amongst the residential staff.

    Pros

Your co-workers who provide you with help advice. Supervisors who help you out when in need.

    Cons

You are overworked and underpaid. The insurance is expensive and the in-network is limited.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your employees especially the ones who work hard for you.
