I worked at Legal Access Plans part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Marketing Interns gain range of activities including project management, design, strategic marketing, and online marketing. The company has a strong team dynamic and is very collaborative. Also, contributing to the effort to give members legal help and support is very rewarding. This company is rapidly growing and expanding its clientele, which is a plus to anyone seeking professional growth in a company

    Cons

The office can be occasionally chaotic because of the expansion of the company, but management puts forth initiative to organize the high volumes of projects.

    Pros

Flexible hours, nice people, good work/life balance and location. Good entry level position if in need of work.

    Cons

Nepotism and favoritism runs rampant evidenced by hiring practices, payscale and little to no upward mobility. Management writing fake reviews on this website in order to boost the overall score. Mishandling of company resources and employee good will during times of crisis.

    Advice to Management

Don't selectively enforce certain policies and procedures only when it is beneficial to you. Be happy for employees who try to better themselves.

    Pros

Decent entry level pay for most positions. Good experience you leverage later in your career for recent college grads.

    Cons

Can take time to move up in the organization. Niche industry. This is a small company, so benefits are expensive.

I worked at Legal Access Plans full-time

    Pros

Good location and nice area of town

    Cons

Management is absolutely terrible. They have manipulated the reviews on this site. Turnover is very high and employees are not valued. Poor pay, poor benefits, and poor treatment. Many people have regretted their time at this place.

    Advice to Management

If you take better care of your employees then they will take better care of you. Your greed is felt all over the office.

    Pros

    - Learn a lot about Law
    - Sharpen Customer Service and/or Sales skills
    - Great entry level position for someone out of school or needing a step up from other jobs
    - Fun co-workers
    - Given a lot of autonomy and freedom in how you choose to do tasks
    - Casual work environment
     - Great for those who want to work full time and go back to school
    - Flexible work hours...sorta
    - Since PTO doesn't exist really for Call Center employees you technically have a unlimited unpaid Vacation time - so long as you don't abuse it.
    -Overtime
    - Good Location

    Cons

    - Marketing Dept. writing their own reviews
    - Lack of Vertical Mobility
    - Micromanagement
    - Lack of Career Path development
    - Micromanagement ( they have to)
    - Call center, so if that's not for you don't work here, typical Call center BS- overbearing managers, tied to a desk all day, having to talk to to stressed out people all day everyday not to mention having to make nearly a hundred outbound "service" calls per day.
    - Company's idea of Benefits are a joke, but they can't help it since they cannot afford better benefits for employees. Hint: You get 1 day of PTO after one year of work.
    - For ambitious people this place will be nothing more than a "job" until you find something better.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees happiness. Don't lie about them having a future there when there is nowhere for them to advance in reality. PTO needs to be severely re-thought and is not competitive. You want to upgrade staff to match with services and products offered but need to do better to actually retain people. Lastly, if the employees are taking and making calls, and generally getting the job done and making the company run smoothly, stop being overbearing dicks about what they do in between calls.

    Pros

Great co-workers, generally. Many opportunities to work on different, interesting projects.

    Cons

Management style is chaotic due to lack of project management skills and inexperience. Sales tends to sell products the company doesn't have.

    Advice to Management

Rapidly expanding companies obviously will experience growing pains. Better training and communication is needed at all levels. Try harder to retain talent.

    Cons

    - PTO benefit could be re thought, but it is not to bad.

    Advice to Management

Maybe offer employees more opportunities to grow and learn the industry and promote from within to lower turnover.
