I have been working at Legal Sea Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, somewhat flexible schedule, pay is great when business picks up.

    Cons

Passive management, sometimes lowbrow clientele, slack kitchen, no auto-grat.

    Advice to Management

Now that the old GM is out, please use this time and opportunity to turn the environment around. There's a lot of room for growth and to bring this place back to where it once was.

I have been working at Legal Sea Foods part-time

    Pros

Legal's cares a lot about training and hiring from within, and invests a lot in its staff. The server free menu is fairly extensive and it's great to be able to have healthy-ish options (fish, vegetables, chicken breast) to choose from. The suburban Framingham location is fairly busy and the best money that can be made serving in the area.

    Cons

Legal's has a very corporate restaurant feel, the Framingham location sees a lot of visiting suits. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as it signals a constant investment in learning and growth, but growing pains are common as well.

I worked at Legal Sea Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are pretty awesome people you can meet. The knowledge that you can gain with wine, food, and spirits is actually incredible.

    Cons

Super, crazy corporate to the point where it could put a damper on your mood and your money. The guests can be a bit privileged and obnoxious

    Advice to Management

Loosen up a bit and have fun. Life's too short to be serious all the time

For the most part the training was ok, and 85% of the employees were really nice.
