I worked at LegalMatch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent salary and decent people.

    Cons

VERY tough to get appointments and sales.

    Advice to Management

MINIMUM trial period should be 6 months since this is NOT a one-call-close type of sale!

    Pros

If you enjoy complete monotony, you're going to love this place.

    Cons

Very difficult to make money calling the same leads that have been called every 3 or 4 days for years on end. I was let go after three weeks, which seems awfully quick. Don't count on them paying your final paycheck in accordance with the laws in your state.

I have been working at LegalMatch (More than a year)

    Pros

Bonus can be good and consistent if you do the work. Completely consultative sales, no hard selling, NOT boiler room sales. Management is easy to work for but expect staff to learn the steps and do the job. Office is relaxed compared to most in the area.

    Cons

Can sometimes be a struggle to reach contact but compared to hard labor, not difficult! Ups and downs in bonus based on above. Takes persistence and commitment.

    Advice to Management

Additional employee benefits would probably attract a stronger workforce.

    Pros

    Laid back atmosphere
    Good comradery
    Tons of Support and Training

    Cons

    Prospecting/Sales Ratio is low
    Benefits are a little pricey

    Advice to Management

Go with a percentage of revenue vs. tier bonus structure

I worked at LegalMatch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great idea, poor poor management. The concept is awesome, however the company owner is a crook.

    Cons

Just as my title says, starts, Neil, and up are pathtic not only as managing ( micro) but they are not good peple in general. They lie, play favorites, and not ethical by any means.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves and let middle manager have your jobs. This ain't their first rodeo either! Laurie it's not and has not been the CEO in a few years. She resigned.

I worked at LegalMatch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have a good product and they are very flexible when it comes to taking your lunch hour - you can take it anytime between 11AM - 4PM. My co-workers were easy to get along with.

    Cons

Unnecessary and OBTRUSIVE micromanagement when you were presenting the product to lawyers on the phone. The senior Reps who were monitoring you INTERFERED while you were presenting the product - this is NOT the way to provide constructive criticism. It should be done AFTER you are FINISHED talking with the lawyer. It's NOT possible to concentrate on 2 things at once and it throws off your presentation! Also, my boss was OVERLY-critical if you made a small mistake and he got VERY angry over minuscule things - NOT good for employee morale and also the constant warnings of being let go if you didn't meet your numbers.

    Advice to Management

Cut out the excessive micromanagement and institute a laissee-faire ( I don't think I spelled that French term correctly ) approach when assessing a new Rep's presentation and NO threats of imminent layoffs..

    Pros

Great people, who unfortunately don't stay long. The product/service is awesome, and it is a brilliant idea, but the fact is they are a terrible company when it comes to HR matters, and the environment is like a morgue.

    Cons

Upper management is not good, and they play favoritism constantly. It is just a rat race to the finish.

    Advice to Management

Get in to the 20th century, and treat your employees fairly. There is a good ole boy system in place, and it is drawn by the VP of sales. It is sad to see that this still has an affect on women here.

I worked at LegalMatch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Paychecks were always ready on time.

    Cons

The decision makers do NOT care about employees or clients, just the money - no ethics

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to appreciate your employees and stop behaving as if you are doing them a favor by hiring them and stop lying/bs them. You have a good product but need to learn how to provide the services that you train/tell your employees you provide.
